Greenwich Cabinet of Curiosities

Greenwich Cabinet of Curiosities

The Greenwich Cabinet of Curiosities is the first of what we hope will be a number of artist created cabinets which explore place through its people and histories and the curious stories and places that are stored in the collective consciousness. The Greenwich Cabinet of Curiosities will explore this historical London borough through its people, folklore, history and mysteries.  During 2012 the Avant-Gardeners will be running workshops, leading walks, making short video and sound pieces, creating fanzines, prints and artists' products that explore these hidden histories and curating them into the Cabinet of Curiosities

To help us uncover these hidden histories we are seeking fellow explorers and seekers of curiosity who will help us to investigate the borough - from buried palaces to witch trials, lost orchards to hidden caverns. This will be a journey of exploration and we need your help to document and capture your responses to the borough.

Keep up to date with Cabinet of Curiosities' events and activities and associated events of interest in the borough by visiting our online calendar

Some of the areas of interest and exploration that we comes across are documented on this Cabinet of Curiosities blog http://greenwichcabinet.tumblr.com/
